    How to Register

    In order to take the full benefit of Automarket, you will need to sign up first. To signup, just click the signup link on the website

    Input your current active email address on the Email field and Retype the same email address on next field. Remember this email will be used as your corresponding email address when using Automarket. Make sure that you have an active access to this email address.

    Then click the Signup button.
    Once you have finish this step, you can check your email inbox for activation e-mail.

    Once you open your e-mail you can click the “Activate Account” button or just copy the link and paste it to your browser address bar.

    You will be redirected to the following page and you will need to complete the information before you can proceed to next step.

    1. EMail : You cannot change this since this is your e-mail used when signed up.
    2. Are you Selling or Buying : You can choose whether you want to use this account to sell your car or buy car(s). Please note that selling cars only available for people who reside in Japan only.
    3. Country : If you choose Buyer - you can choose your country from the drop-down list. If you choose Seller, then you cannot change the country selection other than Japan.
    4. Username : Your preferred username for login on Automarket.
    5. Password : Your password. Must be at least 6 characters. Please remember the password and keep it for yourself.
    6. Display Name : This name will be used and shown on Automarket site for public viewing. This will be who you are known as on Automarket.
    7. Newsletter : Tick the Subscribe for news update checkbox to receive Automarket updates on your e-mail address.

    When you have finished fill-up process and review the form, you can proceed with the “Next” button.

    You will be shown the confirmation screen, and you can click confirm if you are satisfied with the information shown or you can click back and edit the information before submitting again.

    Registration is completed after you click the confirm button.
    Congratulations! You are now an official member of Automarket!

    Login

    Click on the login link to login



    Then you can use the username and password you have created earlier on the signup process.


    Once you login you can click on the person icon where you can see the link for Dashboard, Profile and Logout from the drop down menu.

  • How to SELL

    How to Sell

    To sell your car on Automarket is easy. First of all, you will need a seller account. Please notice that seller account is only for Japan residence only.

    First, login with your seller account.



    Then hit the Sell Car button on the left side



    As regular customer, you will start with this screen - which as follow



    Just click the Start Selling button and you will see the following Terms & Agreement page. Please review the RULES of the game and FEE List before clicking the Agree checkmark and Next button to continue.



    On the next screen, Upload Image and Upload Video - you can upload the photo(s) of your car and your car’s video. You will need to upload at least one photo to proceed. The more detailed photo you upload, the greater attention your car will get from the market. Taking video of your car with it features (engine sound, lamp, showing the moving parts - opening and closing the doors, etc) will increase your chance to sell the car greatly as long as the price is right. Remember that potential buyers are mostly from overseas that could not see the car directly.



    This is how a completed photo and video page will look like. As you can see that the photo is having a front look, rear look, interior as minimum. You can add other photos as optional.



    When you are already satisfied with the photos and or video, then you can click the Next button on the right bottom of the screen.

    On the next screen, you will need to complete the car basic information. The fields marked with red label are mandatory - you will need to have them completed before you can proceed.



    Tips
    • You can always refer to your car’s registration data when you are completing this section.
    • When you have too many data on the select list - you can narrow your selection by typing several characters from the list, such if you look for “Mitsubishi” on the maker list, then you can type “Mitsu” on the list search bar to narrow the selection rather than scrolling the list all the way.

    1. Maker : the maker - the brand of your car (Toyota, Mitsubishi, Honda, etc). You can select from the
    2. Model : the model of your car.
    3. Manufacture : the year of the car was manufactured. Please select the appropriate year regarding to your car’s registration document / paper.
    4. Mileage : The mileage of your car, as displayed on your car’s odometer.

    5. Accept Inspection Request : This is the option to state whether you are accepting inspection request from potential buyer or not. The inspection document will be provided after inspection and the inspection fee is applicable as mentioned on the terms and agreement page.
    6. Telephone Number for Inspection : The phone number to be contacted regarding to the inspection activity.
    7. Request Sell Price (if any) : The asked selling price, the amount of money you have in mind that your car is worth. If you are not sure - just leave this blank and our customer support will help to inform you with the fair market price.
    8. Pick Up Location : Just type in the postcode - or select the prefecture and city where the car resides. This information is needed to calculate the local transport fee.
    9. Seller Note : This is just a note between you and our Customer Service staff. You can make a note about the car here and it won’t be disclosed to public.
    10. Upload Your Car's registration document front faced up{% trans : You can upload your car’s registration document here - you might take photo of it or scan it, as long as it is readable then it is OK to go. Just click the Upload Document link to upload the file.
    11. Your contact info will be verified and you can input your Best time to call so our Customer Service staff will call you on your preferred time of the day.

    Following is the example of completed form. You can click :

    1. Next if you are OK and ready to submit the information.
    2. Save if you need to save the information before submitting
    3. Reset if you want to start all over again. Be careful - all of your selling steps will be lost!
    4. Back if you need to go to the previous screen.



    When you click Next you will have a preview and confirmation screen, please review all the information there and make sure that you are satisfied with it before clicking Submit button. If you need to change something then you can click Back button.


    Once you are OK with the preview - you can click the Submit button and click YES on the confirmation.


    Your car is already submitted and will be reviewed by our staff immediately. Once our staff contacted you and the review process is completed, you car will be displayed on the Automarket. Congratulations!

  • How to BUY

    How To Buy

    To buy car(s) from Automarket, you will need a buyer account. This buyer account only available for users from outside Japan.

    First, login with your buyer account. Then you can look for cars from Buy Car section by clicking the Buy Car button on the sidebar.

    Using Search

    As you might notice - there is a search section on top of the buy listing. You can use this search feature to get the desired car more efficiently. Let say you want to look for not older than 2016 Toyota Alphard or Vellfire. Then you can use search feature by selecting :

    1. Toyota on the Maker Name field,
    2. then select Alphard and then select again Vellfire on the Model Name field,
    3. Select 2016 as from and leave the to as is Manufacture Year field
    4. and then hit the Search button

    You can use any search combination, but please keep in mind that the more extensive the search constraint you set, the less search result or even none will displayed. Try to use broad search constraint first - and when you still get too much result, you can narrow your search later.


    Tips

    When you have too many data on the select list - you can narrow your selection by typing several characters from the list, such if you look for “Alphard” on the maker list, then you can type “Alp” on the list search bar to narrow the selection rather than scrolling the list all the way.

    Follow Car

    Once you got the search result, you can “follow” the car in this case marking the car so you can find it easier later on your follow list. Just click Follow button on the listing


    Or you can click the heart icon from the car detail to follow the car.


    Buy a Car

    Buying a car from Automarket is simple. It all started with paying the ‘deposit’ through PayPal using PayPal balance or Credit Card. Amount of deposit is 10% of car’s listed price or minimum of ¥ 50.000 and maximum of ¥ 500.000.

    To buy a car of your selection, you can click Buy button on the list or detail of the car.

    Or from detail :

    After you click the Buy button, you will have the following information which is also a confirmation page

    Select the Destination Country as which port you want the car to be shipped

    You can check the “I need Car Inspection Certificate” check box to have the car inspected. Please note that additional inspection fee is applicable and will be charged upon the full payment.

    You can see the deposit amount calculated based on the car price. In this example, since 10% of the ¥ 1.950.000 is above the minimum deposit amount of ¥ 50.000, so the deposit amount applied on this car is ¥ 1.950.000. There is also additional PayPal fee which is around 4% of the transfer amount so the total amount of deposit you will need to pay through PayPal is ¥ 2.198.000,-

    Once you click the Buy Now button, the car you’ve just ‘bought’ will be added to your cart and you can go to cart or back to do more car purchase(s).

    If you have finished with the car purchase(s), you can go to cart by clicking the Cart Button on the successful added to cart page

    or the Cart Button on the header from any screen.

    You can see the car you have just bought on your shopping cart

    You cannot proceed to deposit payment until Customer Service provide the latest car status (available / sold), meanwhile you can edit the cart just in case you need to change the destination port and or inspection request. Or you can also delete to cancel the buying process before paying the deposit. To cancel buying process after paying the deposit or even after paying the car in full, you will need to do that manually by contacting the Customer Service staff.

    Once the Customer Service update the status of the car to available, you can proceed by paying the deposit via PayPal by clicking the Checkout button.

    You will have the Checkout page where you can complete the Consignee and Notify information for shipment. Once you provide the consignee information, it will be re-used for next checkout unless you change it. The last data inputted will be retained.

    You can input different Notify Party or use Consignee or just use the consignee informatio as notify by checking the Same as Consignee checkbox.

    You can click the Pay Deposit (via Paypal) button. you will be redirected to PayPal page, so the transaction will be handled securely by PayPal.

    You can change the PayPal language just in case it is in Japanese to English by clicking the 日本語 and chose English.

    You will have the PayPal payment confirmation

    And after you click continue, you will have the following screen

    That confirms the deposit payment. Once the deposit payment is done, the car will be on your Buy Process list on your dashboard. You can go to the process list by clicking the Dashboard menu on after clicking the person icon on the top right of the screen.


    You just wait for Automarket staff to contact you and help you through the rest of buying process, update you with all the Proforma and Invoice you will need to pay in full, payment method and the shipment arrangement.
